Guiding Clients Through Divorce with Strength and Strategy
J.B. Fitzgerald is a divorce and family law attorney who combines litigation skill with deep personal empathy. Licensed in Pennsylvania, he helps clients navigate the complexities of divorce, custody, support, and protection orders with clarity and purpose. Whether advocating in court or negotiating a settlement, J.B. is committed to securing outcomes that empower his clients to move forward with confidence.
“I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by a legal process that’s also deeply personal,” J.B. says. “My goal is to protect people—not just legally, but emotionally—when they’re most vulnerable.”
J.B. supports clients through high-conflict divorces, custody disputes, and cases involving narcissistic or manipulative behavior from the other side. His clients appreciate his ability to stay calm under pressure and fight assertively for their interests while maintaining a clear sense of direction and purpose.
Client-Centered, Courtroom-Ready
J.B. brings a powerful combination of courtroom experience and personal perspective to his family law work. Prior to joining Petrelli Previtera, he served as both a defense attorney and an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia. He has tried numerous cases and spent extensive time in the city’s domestic violence courtrooms. His criminal law background gives him an edge when family cases intersect with issues like protection from abuse, false allegations, or custody-related conflicts.
In every case, J.B. is driven by a fierce desire to ensure his clients are heard and protected.
